UPDATE:
Hello! Welcome back to my blog!
As you can see, Happily Abi has been a little deserted. I had so much going on–switched schools, found more of myself, centered my relationships, figured out my beliefs–that continuing this same blog almost feels inauthentic. I am still figuring out which direction I want my writing to go into, but for now, I’ll leave this blog up as an example of how far I’ve come. I’ll be sure to come back and link the new blog whenever I get that up and running! Until then, stay gentle.

My name is Abi Leah and I am the blogger behind Happily Abi. I’m a twenty-year-old college student, double-majoring in English and Communications. I love quiet mornings, a good cup of tea, and a new journal.

I started blogging in 2014 under the blog title, Life As A Homeschooled Teen. When I went back to “regular school,” I changed my blog name to Happily Abi and continued writing lifestyle-type posts.

In my Senior year of high school, I was challenged to share my faith in a unique way. I put my love of God and my love of writing together and transformed my blog from a lifestyle blog to a devotional blog.

God and Christianity have become a very important part of my life. I became a Christian in 2010 when a family member died. Because of that experience, I was brought to question who I was and what my purpose in life would be. The only answer I had to my questions came from God. That day in September turned my life completely around. God’s love and mercy have influenced me to be a more loving, hard-working person.

My goal is to share the Christian hope with others around the world. I’ve seen the change it’s brought to my life and I hope that you can see it too. On this blog, you’ll find monthly devotions aimed to help encourage you as well as myself to trust God throughout all of the storms of life and to love Him more each day.

I have other interests as well such as bullet journaling, reading about the environment, writing letters, singing songs, and spending time with my family and friends. You can follow me on Instagram, and Pinterest!

    I really enjoyed reading some of your posts and your about me! I just recently switched jobs, but for the last four years I have been working in the foster care system. I worked with foster parents and placed kids in the system into homes. It was such a difficult, but rewarding job.
