Dear You: A Letter

Dear You,

Every day you wake up.
Whether it’s a good day or a bad one,
You live.

Life may not always be wonderful.
It can be full of sadness
And failures
And mistakes.

But those are the things
That help you to grow.
Those are the things
Which make the good so much better.

Because when the storms pass,
The sun always comes.
And when the rain stops,
Rainbows fill the sky.

The bad things in life
Are just pathways to the good.

So while things may not be amazing
In this specific moment,
Look ahead to the future,
To the happiness that is sure to come.

It’ll be worth it.

by Specsclad

Specsclad started her 25 Days of Self-Care Blogmas posts this December. One of my favorite post from this series so far was her Four Reasons Why You Should Be Writing In A Journal post. (But the rest of her posts have been great too!) I think it’s really nice that she decided to take a different perspective on Blogmas and do the Self-care theme. Be sure to check out her post here and her blog here.

  15. The wonderful food that my mom makes for me every day!
Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
  16. Cameras and the chance to capture memories in a photo.

The Identity Tag

I was tagged by James from Just Another James to complete his Identity Tag. (Sorry it took me so long James!)

  • When you’re nominated, the previous person tag should have come up with some questions for you to answer.
  • If you are Tag/Nominated to complete this, you don’t have to post it if you don’t want to, but you have to work out these answers for yourselves!
  • Come up with 10 or more questions, and an extra question in case there’s something someone isn’t comfortable answering online!
  • Nominate 5 or more people to complete this tag.
  • Answer as truthfully and seriously as you can, no cop-out answers!

My Answers

  1. You wake up in this room, in front of you is a man seated at a desk. He says: Before you ask, you’re dead. This is the afterlife… or rather this is how you get there… Firstly I need to know, why should I let you in? What have you done of worth that was important? – What would you say?
As a Christian, I believe that we shouldn’t be let into heaven but it is only by the grace of God that we are forgiven and allowed to be in heaven with Him. As for the second question, I think the most important thing that I’ve done so far is probably realize that I don’t have to go through the storms alone. I remembered that I have God and my family with me and they will forever be with me when I am having hard times.
  2. If they made a song about your life, what genre would it be?
It would probably be a soundtrack from a movie. Like a mix of mystery and chaos but happiness and hope as well. I don’t know if that makes sense but. XD
  3. What is your sole purpose in life?
My main purpose in life is to share the love, hope, and kindness of God to others while being as open as I can.
  4. What do you regret doing?
I regret missing out on opportunities because I’m afraid of being stretched too far from my comfort zone. And it’s something that I’m working on.
  5. What are your strengths?
I’m more of a quiet person which helps me to be more observant. I am able to see when people are having a hard time and can be there for them when they need me. I work great one on one or with small groups.
  6. What are your weaknesses?
I easily find myself lost in crowds, public speaking is one of more worst fears, and I get distracted easily.
  7. What is something that not many people know about you?
I’ve always wanted to own a business. It just seems like a fun thing to do and I can be my own boss. I’m not sure if I ever will do that but it’s a possibility.
  8. What has been the best decision of your life so far?
Being homeschooled has been the best decision for me. I love being at home and having the opportunity to learn more of things that weren’t offered at school. It gives me time to do things like blog and being with my family.
  9. What are you afraid of, and why?
I am terrified of having a speech or presentation and just blanking out in front of everyone.
  10. Where are you going in your life?
I’m hoping to finish high school and go to college. Other than that, I’m not really sure. Maybe some traveling here and there but I will continue blogging. :)
